Fresh Brewed Designs New Digital Stamp Release

FBD--SandyTheSnowman

Today Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs is releasing the last of the new digital stamps for the 2013 year.  I was given Sandy The Snowman to show you.  I had so much fun coloring him.  I colored the beach but then used real sand with glue.  I also colored the water and shells but then decided to use embellishments on them too.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to make the sky.  I decided that I had to add a palm tree with Christmas lights.  I found a wonderful sentiment and printed it out on the computer then added it on my layout.  It says, “May the warm, loving spirit of the season bring happiness to you all year long.”  We lived in Florida for 10 years and I loved Christmas cards like this.  It was fun for me to get to make one of my own.  I hope you like it and that you are inspired to create one of your own.  Please check out the rest of the new digital stamps at the Fresh Brewed Designs Store.  There is a fantastic deal on the entire bundle of the new releases.  You can buy the entire bundle for $15.  That’s a savings of $12 plus Heather is going to throw in 3 wintery digital sentiments.  Enjoy your week.  Can you believe how close it is to being the end of the year?  Please come back on Saturday for our Hoopla!  It promises to be lots of fun!  Until then…Ciao…

Fairy In Waiting

Fairy In Waiting - Stamp -N- Doodle

Lady Anne is having a progressive Christmas Challenge.  There are two digital stamps donated each month, this time by Stamp -N- Doodle.  As long as you do at least one of the donated stamps then you will receive a stamp the following month for the challenge.  This is my second stamp for the month as well as my second card for this challenge for the month.  To see the first one you can go here.  The papers were bought from TLC here and the sentiment was also from Paulette at TLC.  I had never made this type of step card before but I absolutely adore it.  I think that Paulette’s papers were perfect and I don’t think that the card would have been the same without her sentiment.  I did put some Stickles on the little star looking shapes in the sentiment.  I added some star brads along the bottom.  I hope that you like my card.  I hope that you will check out Lady Anne’s Challenges, Stamp -N- Doodle, and TLC.  Without all of these good people, my card would NOT have been possible.  As always stay crafty, be inspired, be happy, and Be Blessed…Ciao…

Lady Anne’s Progressive Challenge

CarollingTrio - StampNDoodle

I scraplifted a card from one of the Cardmaker magazines from the UK.  Mine is quite different because of the dimensions but I can honestly say that I like this card more than I have liked any of my cards in a long, long time.  I had more fun than I have had making this card and I am so proud of it.  I even have someone in mind to send it to come Christmastime.  Lady Anne is having a progressive Christmas Challenge.  She is giving us two images each month and as long as we complete one of them then we are eligible to receive two more the next month.  She said that she would try this out for six months to see how it went and if it went well then she would continue it.  I hope that it goes good because this is the perfect chance to get a head start on my Christmas cards for this year.  This month the sponsor is Stamp -N- Doodle.  This image is called Carolling Trio.  You can get your own image by clicking on the link.  The stamps are very reasonable at $2.49.  They have both rubber and digital stamps.  I hope that you are inspired by this card.  I am always happy to have you visit my blog and I am always happy to return the favor and stop by your blog as well.  As always be crafty…be inspired…be happy…be Blessed.  Ciao…

My Second Christmas Card For Lady Anne’s Challenge

OLittleTownOfBethlehem--CraftingWithJack

Lady Anne is having a progressive Christmas Card Challenge and this is my second entry.  I know most of the entrants got both of their cards entered at the same time but I had seven or eight images colored and I am getting them done as I can.  This image is from “Crafting With Jack”.   You can see Angela’s examples on her site here.  I used my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pens to color this image.  It is such a sweet image.  And although it isn’t perfect, I used my smallest circle punch to make the stamp cut around “O Little Town Of Bethlehem”.  Isn’t that what Jesus was all about?  We weren’t perfect so He came to show us the light and the way so that we might be forgiven of our sins.  I’m glad He came and I’m glad that He brought Grace with Him.  There is still time to join if you want to join in at Lady Anne’s Progressive Christmas Card Challenge to help get a jump start on your Christmas cards before December gets here.  Please join in.  It is a way to celebrate Christmas all year long!  Be Blessed until we meet again…Ciao…

Christmas Card

CandleDisplay--CraftingWithJack

Lady Anne, of Lady Anne’s Challenges, has many challenges.  Among them she started a Christmas card Challenge this year so that we can get some Christmas cards done during the year.  The digital image is donated by Crafting With Jack.  As long as you get the cards, yes I said cards, I have one more digital image colored but haven’t made the card yet, done and entered in the challenge then you will receive another two digitals for the next challenge.  (It is a progressive challenge.)  I colored my image and then took a crayon and went over the image hoping that when I did the background there would be a resist and it wouldn’t color over my image.  It worked pretty well except over the candle.  I thought “Merry and Bright” was a good sentiment for a candle.  So the background is done in Tim Holtz Distress Inks Vintage Photo.  I wanted to tear the edges very uneven like this so I was happy with how that turned out.  I went around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks Fired Brick.  I used a dauber to make the background Tim Holtz Distress Inks Weathered Wood.   The back paper is the closest I had to a gold.  And the one behind my image matched my colors pretty well.  I added the bow made from my hubby’s stash of twine and I was good to go.  I hope you will be blessed until we meet again…Ciao…

Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog Challenge #11 Week 3

SmoochieBabyGirl-TSB-CCCB

This week I took Smoochie Baby from The Stamping Boutique to make into a Christmas tag.  I used Christmas colors and then the sentiment “Christmas is For Children”.  I love that Christmas song.  This is week 3 of Challenge #11 at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog. The challenge runs until December 31 and our sponsor is Robert Jackson.  We are grateful to Robert Jackson for sponsoring this challenge for us and I want to thank him again here.

I know that this is the time of year that we are all SO busy and running around like crazy people trying to get everything done.  Thankfully I think that my husband and I have it all done and we are in a good place to take time and reflect on this past year.  I will save that for another post.  I would love to share all of the inspiration from The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog from this week but I am waiting to see if I can get their permission so for now you will have to go to the blog itself to see all of the wonderful eye candy.  You can see it by going here.  If you want to pay Robert Jackson a visit then you can visit him by going here.  As the year winds down, this is my last post for the year for CCCB and I need to remind you if you want to buy any of  The Stamping Boutique’s  images that you must do so before December 31, 2012 when Tracey closes the store.  I will have a few more posts before the end of the year.  Until we meet again…Ciao…

The Stamping Boutique Challenge #63 – Gift Ideas or Packaging

GingerbreadManWithButtons

GingerbreadManWithButtons2

Well, this is the next to last challenge for The Stamping Boutique.  Challenge #63 is doing gift ideas or packaging.  I went to Michael’s and picked up this little gingerbread man for less than 79 cents.  I used the Gingerbread Man With Buttons from The Stamping Boutique.  Remember if you want any of Tracey’s images from The Stamping Boutique you have until December 31st to purchase them and then they go into the vault.  Creative Imaginations had some gingerbread paper.  I don’t see a name on it but it is by Samantha Walker.  I tore the paper into small pieces and then put it on this box with some Mod Podge.  I have a special friend I want to send it to and she requested having gingerbread potpourri put in it so I am going to try to find some.  That may require a trip to some place like Pier One.  Oh, shucks.  LOL  We all, the DT of The Stamping Boutique, invite you to join us in these last two challenges.  I hope that this can be some inspiration to you.  As always the rest of the DT has done some awesome projects and they can be seen here.  Until we meet again…Ciao…

The Stamping Boutique Challenge #62 – Ornaments

Ornaments fromTSB

HollyBerryWRibbon-TSB

Today at The Stamping Boutique for Challenge #62 we are making Ornaments.  On the first one, I took the 3 images Tracey has that are ornaments and made a tree to hang them on.  On the second one, I took the image Holly Berry with Ribbon, colored it twice, punched out a circle of cardboard and sandwiched it in between my colored images.  If you have not heard, Tracey has made an official announcement that she is closing the doors on her shop, The Stamping Boutique, after 3.5 years.  If there are any images that you really like from there you only have until December 31st to go buy them.  I guess after this there will only be two more challenges and that will be it from us at The Stamping Boutique.  I have thoroughly enjoyed doing my best week after week to inspire you to want to join in on the challenges.  I have loved and admired all of the other DT members.  This bottom ornament looks very good at the bottom of our tree.  My husband has been going through some health issues and we did not want to put up a big tree this year in case he wasn’t able to take it down for me.  We have a 2 foot Charlie Brown Christmas tree that has one ornament on it so we just put this on the bottom by the tree skirt and it really looks cute.  It will look good on our tree next year.  I hope you will join us for our final three challenges at The Stamping Boutique.  We have had SO many excellent entries we have had a hard time choosing the winners.  Until we meet again…Ciao…

The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog Challenge #11 – Week 1 – Winter Themed Tags

CandyCanes2--RobertJackson--CCCB

This month at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog we have Robert Jackson as our sponsor.  Thank you Mr. Jackson for sponsoring us.

I chose to use Candy Canes which you can purchase by clicking on the link.  The prices are very reasonable.  We are doing winter themed tags.  I put the candy cane image on both sides.  I stamped it with “Merry Christmas.  May the wonder that is Christmas touch the child within your heart.”  The light blue background and some silver ribbon, I was good to go.  I did staple the ribbon in place.  I normally will take a glue dot or something to make certain that the ribbon doesn’t slide around.  Please check out our challenge at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blogspot.  We have been having some very nice entries.  I know this is a very busy time of year but most of us as crafters need to do some crafting to relax.  I have shown you an example of a tag that won’t take a whole lot of time but will still fit the bill for coloring, cutting, gluing, stamping, fussing cutting, coordinating colors, and that will still let you spend time with your family and friends or doing that shopping that you may need to do whether online or in the stores!  Hopefully I have been able to inspire you but if you are looking for something more complicated then visit The Crafter’s Cafe Blogspot Challenge #11 – Week 1 – Winter Themed Tags and take a look at my fellow DT’s work as they are always inspiring.  I look forward to seeing you again…Until then…Ciao…
