Well, this is the next to last challenge for The Stamping Boutique. Challenge #63 is doing gift ideas or packaging. I went to Michael’s and picked up this little gingerbread man for less than 79 cents. I used the Gingerbread Man With Buttons from The Stamping Boutique. Remember if you want any of Tracey’s images from The Stamping Boutique you have until December 31st to purchase them and then they go into the vault. Creative Imaginations had some gingerbread paper. I don’t see a name on it but it is by Samantha Walker. I tore the paper into small pieces and then put it on this box with some Mod Podge. I have a special friend I want to send it to and she requested having gingerbread potpourri put in it so I am going to try to find some. That may require a trip to some place like Pier One. Oh, shucks. LOL We all, the DT of The Stamping Boutique, invite you to join us in these last two challenges. I hope that this can be some inspiration to you. As always the rest of the DT has done some awesome projects and they can be seen here. Until we meet again…Ciao…
On my sidebar you will see the badge regarding Fresh Brewed Designs November Rubber Stamp Release and Blog Hop. Heather was kind enough to provide everyone with this wonderful image, titled “Hello Winter”. She is still available here but only until midnight. She goes into the shop then and you will have to pay for her. Right now Heather also has a cutie on the same page called, “Hello Snowflake” for $1.50. She is available at this price TODAY only so if you hurry you can get two digital stamps for $1.50. Now that IS A STEAL OF A DEAL!!! Who would want to miss that? I didn’t think about Christmas colors as being red and green when I did “Hello Winter”. I was basically trying to get the red. Then when I went to pick out the paper, the snowflakes were bluish so I dyed my doily with my Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass ink. The bow is hard to tell whether it is more green or more blue. I decided to make “Hello Winter” 3D so I used my Pop Dots to give her dimension. I always color 2 of an image when I color so that I can make 2 cards at the same time or that I have an extra when I want to make another card. It is just a habit that I have made and it has been a good habit for me. I stamped snowflakes on “Hello Winter” and then embossed them. Then I used white glitter on remaining white spaces. I don’t know that the picture reflects the glitter very well. Be sure to head over to Fresh Brewed Designs to enter the contest. It runs all of November. That gives you 25 more days. And don’t forget to take advantage of the 2 digital stamps, “Hello Winter”, the freebie, and “Hello Snowflake”, for $1.50, ONLY TODAY, Monday, November 5th, 2012 here. You know you will be sorry if you miss this deal! Here is the list of copics I used:
E-04, 15, 17, 19, 21
I cannot wait until we meet up again…Until then…Ciao…
I’ve been trying to help my parents since their wreck. The guy that hit them is 18 & has a family. He didn’t have a driver’s license or insurance. My parent’s car is totaled besides my Mom’s five broken ribs. She hasn’t been able to care for herself & Dad has needed to get out of the house. They live 40 miles away. We have been trying to take food or go help take care of her. On top of that I haven’t felt well. These blooming allergies & my other illness don’t help matters. I have a big project that was due on the 16th. It is awesome but I haven’t felt well enough or been home enough to get it completed. Anyway, we had to replace the sink in our kitchen & the faucet b/c the water bill went up 400% b/c of the drought we are having in Texas. We have had a leak in the faucet since we bought the house so it was past time. I thought I would share my new pen holder, top picture, & Stickles holder, bottom picture, with you. That isn’t what they look like? Well, let me explain. We found these 2 pieces at Target yesterday. I asked my husband if he could take PVC pipe & put it in the wine rack. He said he could. We found the PVC pipe & we even found little end caps that fit on the end of the pipe so the pens won’t go all the way through. He is going to cut it & put it in the wine rack. I plan to take all of my different pens & sort them by color, all the blues in one, blacks in one, reds in one–you get the picture. There are 10 slots. I went on a site: & ordered three 12″ diameter wooden circles. They are 3/4″ thick. My husband is going to drill holes into each of them so I can store my Stickles, Adirondack Alcohol Inks, (& if there is anything else that I have or that fits if there is any room left over), upside down. I will share a picture when they are done but I haven’t posted in so long I wanted to share something with you. So these are my projects for the hubster & then I will get busy filling them. Oh, I picked up some sugar jars too so I can fill them with the Baker’s twine. When I finally get my scraproom finished there will be pictures to share. I do have before pictures as well. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your day or evening wherever you are.
