Day 5 Growing In Unity–Your Wings Exist–Friends With Flair Friday

Well the bad news is that today is my last day as GIU.  The good news is that today is Good Friday.  Don’t forget that this is Friends With Flair Friday as well.   Sunday will be Easter.  This stamp is your wings exist by Phyllis Harris, artist, that does stamps for Unity.  The sentiment is part of the stamp set.  Here are the Copic colors that I used:  B-000, B-00, E-11, E-13, E-15, E-23, E-37, E-42, E-43, E-50, E-59, and YG-17.  The papers are Prima Madeline.  The bling is from Michael’s.  I used a sketch #179 from Operation Write Home.  I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing with you this week and I will be going around to your blogs and visiting.  I have enjoyed each of your comments.  Thank you very much.

Don’t forget that if you comment every day this week you get a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty Stamps!  I will be posting the winner on my blog on Monday!

Also if you comment every day I am throwing in another 2 chances to win a stamp from me.  I have 2 stamps that I have bought doubles of and I am going to send to send 1 each to 2 very blessed commenters!  Thanks for visiting my blog this week.  I would love it if you would follow me but that isn’t a necessity to win.  The winners will be posted on my blog on Monday!

Growing In Unity Day 1–Easter Card

(What a time we are having!  The past month our puppy had surgery and we almost lost him.  I went to visit a friend in Florida for a week.  Then this past weekend I took the 2 days of certification classes from Copic.  Now we are having a tornado watch and I am having trouble keeping the internet going.  I am posting my card and hoping that things go off without a hitch.)

I am so excited to be the Growing In Unity Gal this week.  I did this last year and had so much fun.  I’m excited to be doing it again this year.  I started off the week with a couple of stamps that I got from the Kit of the Month from February 2014.  It is being offered today for $26 .  I especially love this kit.  While I was in Florida I took classes at Sparkle N Sprinkle so I wanted to use some of the things that I had bought and learned from there.  I heat embossed my egg as well as my sentiment.  Then I used the brushable glue to color the flowers.  Today is the last day for Unity’s Big Spring Garage Sale.  Hurry so that you can take advantage of huge savings.  Also, if you come and comment on my blog every day this week then you are entered in a drawing to get 2 Unity Itty Bitty Stamps!  That’s a great deal too!  I hope that you will join me each day this week as we discover the wonderful world of Unity!

Until tomorrow…Ciao…

Unity Stamp Company’s New Challenge

I have created an Easter card and I used Unity’s new challenge for my inspiration.

Every month Unity has a month long Unity challenge you can choose from 3 themes: Color, card sketch, and/or scrapbook page sketch.

I went with color but there is no reason that your can’t go with two or even all three.  Here is my card:

Dying Eggs (wit & wisdom)--Unity

Dying Eggs Inside--Unity (Everything Easter)

The first thing I did was take the colors that were on the challenge and use those colors of crayons and melt them with my embossing heat dryer.  It is hard to see the purple on the black but you can see it if you look close.  I used Recollections Chalk paper and Recollections white pigment ink to stamp my image from Dying Eggs (wit & widsom).  The bg paper come from Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments Collection.  The inside is AC Cardstock which is a light violet.  I used 2 stamps from Unity’s Everything Easter collection for the inside.  If you follow the link the Everything Easter stamp is on sale for $12 down from $29.  You will need to hurry though as the sale ends tomorrow.  Also the shipping is $2.95 on orders over $25.  That’s a true bargain.  I have one more card to show you.

i will give you my heart--Unity

i will give you my heart--Unity inside

This is i will give you my heart Unity Stamp.  This is one of Phyllis Harris’ stamps.  I really like her stamps.  Here are the Copic colors I used:

C-6, C-9

E-00, E-13, E-19, E-21

V-121, V-15, V-17

I also used my Derwent color pencil “Baked Earth”.  The bg paper is Love Me by MME.  On the inside I used a heart embellishment by Heidi Swapp and I colored it with Tsukineko Cherry Blossom spray.

I hope that you have enjoyed my cards as much as I enjoyed bringing them to you.  I hope to see you again.  Until we meet again…Ciao…

Fresh Brewed Designs

Silly Heather, Trix are for kids!  LOL  I hope by now everyone know about Fresh Brewed Designs.  I have oohed and aahed over it enough.  Today Heather is giving everyone a chance to win her new digital image called “Sweet Bunny” if you share it on your blog and/or Facebook.  Well I have never been one to pass up a chance to try to win one of Heather’s rubber or digital stamps so I am sharing on my blog, Facebook, twitter, and on Google +1.  You should try to win too.  Heather is awesome and she is very generous.  If you go because of me would you please just tell her that “Patti” sent you.  It isn’t going to give me any more chance of winning that you but I want her to know that I always try to go the extra mile for her because she has always been such a special friend to me.  Thank you in advance for that.  Hugs to everyone that stops by here.  See you again tomorrow.  Ciao…
