Yay! It’s another Friends With Flair Friday at Unity and that means fun, fun, fun! Well, it is triple fun today. It has been a hard week for us so I have three cards to share. Here is the challenge that is going on at Unity:
And here are my cards to share with you:
My son’s girlfriend’s grandfather passed away and they had the funeral Tuesday. There is a theme for Tuesday here. Anyway, I wanted to make her a nice Sympathy card. I used the With Heartfelt Sympathy stamp (from bunches of love).
Tuesday as my son and his girlfriend were headed to her grandfather’s funeral in another town he looked back in the back of his car, (he was taking his dogs with him), and his first dog as an adult had passed away in the car. This was a very sad thing as Corby wasn’t sick in any shape, form, or fashion and had been my son’s buddy for at least the past 13 or 14 years. You know that it is bound to happen but you are never ready. So again, it was time to break out the stamps and make a different kind of Sympathy card. This one I took the dog from Phyllis Harris’ “More Blessed to Give” and embossed him in black embossing powder. On the inside I used a couple of stamps from “With Sympathy” which to me is a must have in anybody’s stamp collection! It is SO versatile!!! It is on sale now too if you don’t have it!
Yesterday was my birthday. It was truly an awful day. My husband gave our Shih Poo a ham bone not thinking anything about it. It was a large one. Well that was Tuesday. He was up all night regurgitating it. He was still sick Wednesday morning. So my husband took him to the veterinarian. He was very, very ill. She did surgery on him yesterday. Anyway, he is recuperating now and hopefully will be home Monday. It will be a long recuperation and our dogs will no longer get ANY bones.
But let’s talk about the card. I used “Thank You” (at the least) to make my sister and my brother-in-law a thank you card for the lovely birthday gift that they gave me. It was very nice and I was very grateful.
I hope that you are inspired to get your stamps out and join us at Friends With Flair Friday at Unity! You still have time to play along. Be sure and check out what the rest of the ladies have made for you! Until we meet again…Ciao.
