I have a little time to put some posts up before I leave for a couple of days. At The Crafter’s Cafe, Robyn’s Fetish had a Valentine Tag Challenge using Robyn’s Fetish image Love Bear. I made the tag from Kraft paper & the background is off of PicMonkey. I had picked up a roll of this mesh at Hobby Lobby for less than $6. I decided that it was less than buying bags of fruit. Last year at TCC we had a Valentine Swap and my Secret Swap Sweetie sent me the red embellishment that I put on the heart the bear is holding. I made the bow and put it on. I had some old ribbon that I thought would be good for the top so I punched a hole and used it. That’s about it. I had the “Happy Valentine’s Day” stamp and stamped it in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fired Brick. As always Be Crafty, Be Happy, and Be Blessed! Ciao!

The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blogspot Challenge #12 Week #3
This month at CCCB Challenge #12 Week #3 – Anything
Goes. QKR Stampede graciously agreed to sponsor us. I used the stamp of a turtle titled “Kissed”. I made a pocket type card kind of resembling a turtle hiding in its shell. Then the turtle can be pulled out as a tag. Here are the next two pictures to go with this:
This really was a fun card to do. There are a couple of gold embossed lines on the top and a couple of heart brads. I sprayed some of the Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray on the sign that says, “Your Shell or Mine” but I may have put it on too thick. It was the first time I had used it. :) You still have a couple of weeks to join in this challenge. There is a lot more inspiration on the blog as well. I hope that you enjoy my card. To see what the rest of the DT has done as well as the previous two weeks, please click here and you will be taken there. Be Blessed and safe until we meet again…Ciao…
Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog Challenge #11 Week 3
This week I took Smoochie Baby from The Stamping Boutique to make into a Christmas tag. I used Christmas colors and then the sentiment “Christmas is For Children”. I love that Christmas song. This is week 3 of Challenge #11 at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog. The challenge runs until December 31 and our sponsor is Robert Jackson. We are grateful to Robert Jackson for sponsoring this challenge for us and I want to thank him again here.
I know that this is the time of year that we are all SO busy and running around like crazy people trying to get everything done. Thankfully I think that my husband and I have it all done and we are in a good place to take time and reflect on this past year. I will save that for another post. I would love to share all of the inspiration from The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog from this week but I am waiting to see if I can get their permission so for now you will have to go to the blog itself to see all of the wonderful eye candy. You can see it by going here. If you want to pay Robert Jackson a visit then you can visit him by going here. As the year winds down, this is my last post for the year for CCCB and I need to remind you if you want to buy any of The Stamping Boutique’s images that you must do so before December 31, 2012 when Tracey closes the store. I will have a few more posts before the end of the year. Until we meet again…Ciao…
The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog Challenge #11 – Week 1 – Winter Themed Tags
This month at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog we have Robert Jackson as our sponsor. Thank you Mr. Jackson for sponsoring us.
I chose to use Candy Canes which you can purchase by clicking on the link. The prices are very reasonable. We are doing winter themed tags. I put the candy cane image on both sides. I stamped it with “Merry Christmas. May the wonder that is Christmas touch the child within your heart.” The light blue background and some silver ribbon, I was good to go. I did staple the ribbon in place. I normally will take a glue dot or something to make certain that the ribbon doesn’t slide around. Please check out our challenge at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blogspot. We have been having some very nice entries. I know this is a very busy time of year but most of us as crafters need to do some crafting to relax. I have shown you an example of a tag that won’t take a whole lot of time but will still fit the bill for coloring, cutting, gluing, stamping, fussing cutting, coordinating colors, and that will still let you spend time with your family and friends or doing that shopping that you may need to do whether online or in the stores! Hopefully I have been able to inspire you but if you are looking for something more complicated then visit The Crafter’s Cafe Blogspot Challenge #11 – Week 1 – Winter Themed Tags and take a look at my fellow DT’s work as they are always inspiring. I look forward to seeing you again…Until then…Ciao…
The Stamping Boutique – Challenge #58 – Food
The new challenge at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blogspot is food. Can you tell by my pictures? I made a tag with #451 Pumpkin Pie Digital Stamp from The Stamping Boutique. I want to mention here that Tracey is having a sale with 35% off. That is a really good sale. I made a box to go with this tag and decided that you couldn’t see the tag so well. That is why I took the 3 pictures. I wanted you to see the box too on the last picture. I am truly learning all of the time. We have so many talented Design Team members that have made fantastic projects you really should go check them out & then go leave them some blog love. Click here to go to Challenge # 58 – Food at The Stamping Boutique. I hope that I have inspired you to enter. I am certain that one of us should be able to inspire you. The Ladies on my team are the greatest! Don’t forget that The Stamping Boutique is coming to Paper Craft Planet soon. They already have 518 members. That is fantastic. I think the plan is to begin next week or the week after. That is just more fun to go around. Is there anything else you would like to see on this blog? Any critique that you have? I know I don’t post every day. I do crafts all day every day so I don’t have the most exciting life to report but I am willing to listen if there is something else you would like to see or if you have some helpful critique. Until we meet again…Ciao…
Christmas in July With a Tag Cards! GHWI Challenge #23
Good Wednesday morning Friends & Fellow Crafters! It is time once again to share some inspiration from Get Hippity with {ippity}. The current challenge is Christmas in July with a tag!
Aletha Williams, owner of Get Hippity with {ippity}, graciously provided me with stamps from {ippity}’s Kissmas & Mistletoe as well as {ippity)’s Gingham Christmas Greetings. Click the links to buy your own sets.
I embossed the snowman & then used my Distress Marker from Tim Holtz in Broken China to go over the swirls. I used the “Snowbody Like You” & stamped it on the tag in TH Distressed Ink Broken China ink pad. These two images were from the Kissmas & Mistletoe set. I used the music from The Gingham Christmas Greetings & stamped it on the red vellum & then tore the sheet. It is hard to see the music on my pictures unfortunately. I also took the smallest snowflake from this set & embossed it on the tag. The papers were from The Paper Studio Santa & Friends. I used distress inks to go around both cards. Some ribbon, embellies, & eyelets and you have the makings for a card. As my 5 year old granddaughter says, “Easy breezy lemon squeezy!”
To play in GHWI’s challenge #23 “Christmas in July w/ a Tag” click here! You do not have to use an {ippity} stamp to play, but it must follow the theme.
