Pink, Pink, Pink Challenge #52.5 at The Stamping Boutique

This is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I would like to add my 2 cents worth in right here.  I know I don’t get a lot of readers and that this won’t go far but I wish that it would.  We have a bunch of women that are suffering from cervical and ovarian cancer as well.  I wish that we could combine these two in October because I feel that these women go unnoticed.  They are not getting their own format so I just wish that someone out there would take heed and combine them so that these women would feel like someone recognizes them and that they were getting help as well.    I did go read that there is a group called SHARE, I believe, that addresses both breast and ovarian cancers.  I just wanted to put a word in for women who are suffering from strictly women cancers.  Now I am off of my soap box.  (Just a footnote:  I am definitely FOR National Breast Cancer Awareness month & my post is late because I was trying to find a way to make all my posts for this month pink.  I have contacted WordPress about this!!!)

The Stamping Boutique has a new challenge for you!  Not only that but The Stamping Boutique has been inspired to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness month for the entire month of October AND we are starting out by sponsoring the 2nd ANNUAL Link Up For Pink Linky Party!!!

Challenge #52.5 from the Stamping Boutique is all about pink and I picked out Dress from The Stamping Boutique Shop.  I think it is elegant.  I actually made two cards when I made it.  I sprayed it with  pink Heidi Swapp Glimmer Mist.  The papers I used were from “Out of Print” from Basic Grey.  I really like that line.  I think that it can be used for so many things.  I have hoarded it but thought it was perfect for this.  Then I colored with Copics:

E-70 (which is Ash Rose)

RV-00, 02, 04, 06, 66, 69

Y-11

A “Happy Birthday” or a party invitation or Girl’s Night out, soiree, “hello how are you”, “You are in My Thoughts”…  This stamp is really very versatile.  I just love it.  Think about making it black and the possibilities or white and you could even use it for perhaps an informal wedding dress type invitation.  I think even a junior/senior prom is a possibility.  Anyway, I hope you are inspired to do something pink and I hope you will consider buying this dress stamp.  It honestly spoke to me!  NO, I will NOT tell you what it said, you will have to figure that out for yourselves.  Oh, all right, you can see that I bought it, right?  It said, “Patti, buy me!”  So I did!  LOL  Have yourself a crafty, dandy day!  Until we meet again…Ciao…

March Luck O’ The Irish ATC Swap

image

This was done for March’s Luck of the Irish ATC Swap at The Crafter’s Cafe.  I loved doing this.  I am learning so much.  I uploaded the picture from my phone so the colors don’t look as spectacular as they are IRL but it was fun learning how to use Tim Holtz’ alcohol inks.  I had only dabbled with using clay once a few years ago at the Texas Tally Rally from TallyScrappers too so this was an experience as well.  And it was my first time using this type of glitter.  I also had never taken foil cardstock & tried to make it look like I had put a patina on it before.  I want to enter it in Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge # 22 here:  Thanks for looking.
